About Our Privacy Policy

We understand that your personal information and privacy is important to you. We make every effort to ensure that the information you share with us is recorded accurately, retained securely, and used only according to your wishes.

What

During the course of our relationship we may collect some personal information. This may include your name, street and email address, phone numbers, and credit card information. We also have a record of your purchases, past registrations and donations.

When

Most of this information is collected when you register or buy tickets. It may come to us through your phone call, mail or email order.

Why

We need this information for billing purposes, to confirm registrations, schedule and location changes, and tickets, and to contact you about upcoming events and special offers: in short, to provide the level of service you have come to expect from GBTC.

Mailing List

Your name will be added to our e-mail list when you register for camps or classes, make make a donation or reserve tickets. This enables you to receive regular communications from GBTC.

Where

Only authorized personnel have access to this information. We do not share your information with outside organizations. Information is stored in encrypted format on the servers belonging to Active Network, our registration system provider. You can consult the Privacy Policy of Active Network here: Active Network Privacy Policy Information that you provide during the secure connection to our registration provider is encrypted for security and transferred with no risk of being intercepted. We also assess new technology for protecting customer information on an ongoing basis.

How

With your consent, we will send you information that we believe to be of interest to you. When classes or camps need to be rescheduled or relocated, we make every effort to reach all registrants via e-mail, phone and text messaging. However, we are also committed to ensuring that our families and supporters do not receive an unreasonable number of letters, phone calls or texts. Any concerns or complaints should be addressed to onstage@gbtc.com, to the attention of the Executive Director. If your information changes, or if you no longer wish to receive communication from us, please inform us at 1 866 864 4282 or onstage@gbtc.com Data is not shared. We do not give or sell any information you provide to Great Big Theatre Company to any other organization.

Safeguarding

Credit card data in our database conforms to the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) Data storage is compliant with PCI Level 1, the highest level of security. If stored, credit card numbers are securely encrypted, and we ask that you never send a complete number to us in an email. PCI compliance means that our database and key internal applications have been tested for security by independant 3rd party auditors and approved by the PCI council. Our registration system is also fully compliant with COPPA (the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act.)

Retention

Data no longer required for our business purposes or legal requirements is destroyed.
